Day 2 Juice Recipe Breakdown

Here is the skinny on the juice recipe…

Grapefruit: Packed with vitamin C and vitamin A in the form of beta-carotene. It has antioxidant phytonutrient lycopene which helps protect cells from everyday damage which can lead to cancer and other diseases. It also contains phytonutrients that protect against some types of eye diseases.  Always check with your doctor if you have one because it can interfere with some medications.

Blueberries: They contain one of the highest antioxidant contents of any fruit. This helps fight off heart attack, stroke and certain cancers. Some studies show that they may help protect brain cells and cognitive function. There is some studies that show blueberries might partially reverse some early stages of memory loss. They contain iron and vitamin C and can help prevent or treat urinary tract infections.

Ginger Root: Ginger is an ancient remedy. It is used for relieving motion sickness, morning sickness, nausea associated with chemotherapy. It aids in digestion. It has lots of phytonutrients that act against inflammation. Ginger is also known for possibly combatting cancer, heart disease and many other disease that are linked to chronic inflammation.

Apples: Apples are rich in vitamin C, A, E, and K. They also contain potassium and calcium. Fight off colds, flu and other illnesses with apples.

Carrots: The abundant vitamin A which is beta-carotene in carrots helps protect the eyes. Vitamin A also  keeps the skin in good strong shape.

 

So there you have it. There are a lot of benefits from juicing but some do need to juice with a little caution due to medications.
